Europe announces flight paths to Brazil’s São Paulo
Air Europa is the latest airline to announce a new flight path to Brazil’s São Paulo according to news reports.
The new route to Brazil will operate from London Gatwick via Madrid Barajas five times a week from December 16th this year.
Air Europa, a Latin American specialist airline, already operates flights to six other South American destinations including Uruguay’s Montevideo, Buenos Aires’ Argentina and Peru’s Lima.
Colin Stewart, UK general manager for Air Europa, commented: “The new route to São Paulo underlines our commitment to connecting our UK leisure and business travellers with the leading destinations in the region.”
“In June we launched flights to Montevideo and last November we began flights to Santa Cruz in Bolivia. Our new São Paulo service is further confirmation of Air Europa’s status as the airline of choice to Latin America.”
To celebrate the new flight path the airline is announcing a special promotion for customers booking flights between July 22nd and August 5th this year with a plan to fly between January 13th and May 31st 2014. Return tickets will be offered at £699.
With the new routes beginning in the winter sun season European tourists can enjoy the guaranteed good weather in Brazil, which experiences almost all-year-round sunshine. Brazil is expected to welcome tourists in their millions for the FIFA World Cup 2014 with a strong focus on cities such as São Paulo and Natal in Rio Grand Do Norte.
Air Europa joins American Airlines amongst others that have recognised Brazil as a popular destination with rising tourism figures. Besides the São Paulo airport, the anticipated São Gonçalo do Amarante airport is expected to receive vast numbers of tourists when it opens in April 2014.
